We are pleased to announce the election of five new leaders to the GSA Board of Directors: Vice President, Treasurer, and three Directors.

Current GSA members are eligible to vote. This year’s ballot includes the 2026 Vice-President (who will be 2027 President), the Treasurer, and three Directors who will serve three-year terms that will begin on January 1, 2026.

The role of the Early Career Scientist representative to the GSA Board is to be a voice for early career scientists in the Society.

Nominate deserving scientists for seven prestigious Society Awards, including the Novitski Prize and GSA Medal. Self nominations are welcome and encouraged!

Led by Dr. Ahna Skop, "Lab Culture Recipes" is a celebration of diversity and connection—highlighting the personal stories, favorite foods, and cultural traditions of over 120 researchers worldwide.

GSA member Clement Chow and his lab at the University of Utah School of Medicine were recently featured in a documentary about their work studying rare diseases using Drosophila.

The annual prize recognizes exceptional innovation by a visionary health leader of international stature. Andrews is recognized for her pioneering functional genomics work in the budding yeast model system.
