2024 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine awarded to Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun
In addition to their former roles as GSA Board and Committee members, Ambros and Ruvkun co-authored a paper on their work in GENETICS. They are recognized by the Nobel Assembly for their discovery of microRNA and its role in post-transcriptional gene regulation.October 7, 2024
